Sales Manager Benelux Nordics

AGA Medical pioneered the repair of congenital and structural heart defects using non-surgical techniques for treating a wide range of these life threatening diseases. AGA Medical, Northern Europe is searching for an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Structural Heart Disease and Interventional Radiology Sales organization in the Benelux and Nordic region.Key objectives are to manage and direct a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals, design and recommend national sales programmes and set short and long-term sales strategies for sales growth both in existing business and new products.
Job DescriptionAs Sales Manager you will be responsible for:Recruit, develop and manage a high performance team of sales specialistsWorking with the sales specialists develops strategies and tactics to open new and grow existing accountsManages and report to senior management regional sales forecasts and regularly update on any major deviations from forecastsProvide consistent level of sales coaching: to include monthly one-on-one meetings, regular field visits of 2 to 3 days each visitProvide constructive and critical feedback and monitor closely performance vs. set objectivesSelects strategic accounts for sales focus and sets aggressive individual and team goalsSets individual sales target and key account assignmentsEstablishes and maintains personal long-term customer relationships with key physician and clinical administrators to influence opportunitiesMonitors and reports to management developments within the competitive landscapeEnsures strategic alignment with cross-functional partners including research and development, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, global marketing and international salesThrough customer interaction, acts as a thought leader for the company identifying research and technology opportunities that result in new and enhanced product offeringsParticipate in the development and management of annual operating plans
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in business, marketing, biology or other life science preferredAround ten years of sales experience with at least seven years in medical devices managing territory/national teams/international teamsExperience building/developing/maintaining relationships with key physicians and allied health professionals, preferably in the cardiology fieldDemonstrated ability to lead people and gain results through othersExperience developing and executing business plansSelf-starter with good analytical skills, builds strong relationships, has a proven track record of client/vendor management, and possesses excellent business communications skills including writing and presentation capabilitiesPossesses a strong working knowledge of the medical device industry and is willing and able to travel 70%Proven track record of working independently, while achieving functional objectives
Salary and BenefitsDependent on experience level, but salary components largely based on results. Range is stated around ? 80 / ? 85k + results related bonus
